This day for me never gets easier its like a tattoo worn on my heart.. I still remember answering the phone joking over a conversation we had just 2 hours before to hear a tearful voice on the other end. I still remember the feeling as her words fell numb to my ears. I still remember crying out to God to save you. I still remember the exact spot I pulled over dropped to my knees & began puking. I still remember the phone ringing 35 minutes later as I stared at it afraid to answer, afraid of what Id hear. I still remember the words They couldnt recesitate her. Shes gone. They couldnt I still remember being angry with God. I still remember the exact spot on the concrete behind my husbands work where I laid in his lap & cried. I still remember thinking this couldnt be real. Then I remember the conversation we had the night before.. It was a conversation that anybody would of dreamed of being their last conversation. I still remember the heart ache. It was all too real but what I hold onto the most was the fun times. I still remember the first day I met you. I still remember trying to tip your neighbors cows after drinking too many red beers. I still remember shopping at Old Navy turning it in a runway show. I still remember bowling when you dropped the ball midswing. I still remember all the sleep overs & endless movies night. I still remember taking Johns truck going mudding in a field convincing him that we never touch it. I still remember the times we lived together smelling coffee at 5AM. I still remember Jaydens favorite spot was in your lap & youd scratch her back. I still remember my nurse telling you to stop making me laugh or the twins were gonna come out when you stayed with me in the hospital. I still remember all the times you stood by my side through the good & the bad whether I was in the right or the wrong. I still remember you making noises in the courtroom right along side my Mama. I still remember you saying Im gonna roll her! Above all I still remember your laugh!! I remember the love. I remember the loyalty. A friendship so rare.. A friendship I will cherish for eternity! 2 years is a long time to be apart.. Oh my best friend I will love you forever!!♡♡♡
