This evening I was interested in looking up the background of conservative sage Glenn Beck. Turns out he has nothing more than a high school degree. After high school he became a top 40 radio deejay. Joseph Lieberman was a fan of his radio show, so (being a Yale alum himself) got him in to take a single class at Yale. He enrolled in an Early Christology course, but soon withdrew, marking the extent of his post-secondary education. His bio also mentions how he was high every day for 15 years straight from the age of 16. This is the man people put a great deal of stock in when forming their political opinions. I think back to the movie Idiocracy and see how it could be quite prophetic.
