This from a thread about capital punishment and my comments about shunning and shaming as being so much more effective a tool. - Think about it most of us can walk into public and some of us can be the biggest hateful, self serving, abusive dickheads on the planet and when they walk out the door nobody knows , they can hold thier heads up and act as if they have every right in the world to be treated just a good as everyone else. Can you imagine what might happen if everyone knew every time they stepped into public what kind of person they really were, what they had done, with everyone except sociopaths that will have a great affect! I remember as a kid once or twice being sat in the corner, I know my face was blood red with embarassment.
