This goes in the I wont understand until I get to Heaven file... we just heard that a young man who had planned on coming to Camp Hope here in Moldova this week was killed by lightning on Tuesday. Terrible storms went through the region and he was struck by lightning. I just found out that the reason he was not here at camp was that he was told by someone that the camp was completely full and there was no room. Im not sure who told him - or any of the circumstances - but my heart is heavy. If we could have taken just one more.... Pray for his family. I preached this morning on I Am the Resurrection and The LIfe. After the service a very tall young man came to me with tears in his eyes. He said in his very broken English that this message was for him. His very close 14 yr. old friend had just died of cancer. He had come to camp with a heavy heart and wondering why God would allow that... He said, now I understand that Jesus is greater than death.
