This governors education agenda uninterrupted will END PUBLIC SCHOOLS as they are currently constructed. The end game is CONTROL. Cuomo lays it out there for you. He wants to end the last remaining public monopoly. How is the big money/big government HEALTHCARE industry working out for everyone? How about the FINANCIAL sector, is your voice heard there? PreK-12 Education is one of the final frontiers for a big money/big government take over. We cannot allow public education funds to be HELD HOSTAGE by this governors reforms. WE must answer the bell on this. If WE the people cannot control our own childrens public EDUCATION, weve given up on everything. Support your LOCAL school, and support your current ability to influence change in your local school. As NYSUT UNION members, and TEACHERS in general, it is not just past time for us to WAKE UP our own BROTHERS AND SISTERS, but it is time for us to actively ENGAGE fellow parents, and COMMUNITY MEMBERS at large, not only in CONVERSATIONS, but also through ACTIONS. Public school TAKEOVERS are not in the publics best interest. UNDERSTAND that these past, current, and potential future takeovers are justified through starvation of funds that encourage school failure. UNDERSTAND that school failure is perpetuated by the currently virtually MEANINGLESS setup that are the state tests. Support the TRUTH.
