This has been a rewarding week in my professional life. I have been lucky to be a part of a program with such a strong tradition in excellence, that I owe a majority of where I stand to the experience and knowledge that I have gained because of it. In the last week, I stood on the floor at American Classics which was the first elite competition of my career; I was asked if I would be open to doing a clinic in Nova Scotia by the Canadian team that is visiting our gym this week; and I was informed by email this evening that I was awarded the Optional Coach of the Year in Michigan. I owe so much to the program that I merely help implement, but I would be lying if I didnt say how great it is to feel like the job I am doing means something more than just being a placeholder in a great organization. I am lucky to be given opportunities to continue to grow, learn and become better. The drive to achieve, the drive to do better is alive and kicking. We never get to perfect, but if we can get better every day it feels like we can do something special. There are three days we speak of regularly... Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow. We have so many yesterdays; yet we lack for tomorrows because every time it hits midnight, it turns into today.
