This has been the closest to a normal Easter I feel like weve had in years! The weather was beautiful, tons of family showed up, and we had enough kids to hunt Easter eggs - down to the second and third cousins. This is what it was like when I was little when Mamaw and Papaw were still here. 2002 is probably the last normal one we had. I know you should live in the present, and cherish the memories youre making now...but its still nice to find the magic of a holiday family gathering, especially when you come from a huge family. Maybe it just took us twelve years to finally recover after the loss of Papaw. I dont know. Whatever finally re-clicked was nice. Really nice.
