This image is still being worked on. I intend to transfer it to either metal or water colour paper. For those who do not recognise the flower it is a strelitzia, common in the tropics. Mine flowered in the past few weeks for the first time as I am in the sub tropics. They hang down, not up as depicted but my wife and I both liked it this way. The oolour has been highly modified as it really is red and yellow. Background is an image of a copper plate that was in my wifes rust heap. She is a textile artist and uses metal to dye fabric.
