This is HORRIBLE and must be stopped NOW! I sent emails to each of the 3 addresses on their web page, occupyforanimals.org/a-rapa-das-bestas.html. Heres what I wrote: I have just found out about A Rapa das Bestas. It is terrorizing and torturing these beautiful horses for fun. It must be stopped NOW. Not only does it cause great distress to the horses, it removes the horses natural defenses from flying insects when their manes and tails are brutally cut off. I know this is tradition, but if you have any kind of heart at all, you will stop this torture of these poor horses. This is just heart breaking and I was shocked to see the pictures and videos showcasing their pain. Please put an end to this senseless cruelty as soon as possible. Thank you. Please send an email as well. We need to help these poor horses. :(
