This is a 20/20 documentary about the harm that public schools can and are doing to students. Everyone knows that the public education system needs to change. This documentary gives ideas of how it can be changed. The first step is educating the public so we can vote in policy-makers that have the power to make a difference. Unfortunately, this is a very biased documentary. Most unionized, tenured teachers and administrators are doing a great job. Unions help protect teacher salaries and give more of a reason to accept low wages in inner city schools. I dont fault teachers at all. The problem is not with the teachers, but with the bureaucracy of the school system. Id be happy to debate any part of this documentary with anyone in public or private. Id also be happy to explain the other side of the argument that isnt mentioned in the documentary.
