This is a basic concept for my FTL cruiser. Included is the concept sketch for the SEV atmospheric capable shuttle. The spheres in the front and back of the cruiser are matter/antimatter reactors. The one in front produces enough gravity to compress space-time, pulling matter and energy towards it. The one in rear works the same, but is infused with negative energy to produce a reverse gravity field, like the same expansive energy perpetuated by the big bang. Basically a two part time-space warp system. The ring serves as a habitation unit that produces gravity through centrifugal force as it spins, while the ship is in regular space-time. When the FTL drive is activated, from normal space-time perspective, the vessel stretches out into a bright streak between departure points and arrival points. Inside the vessel, the arrival point appears as a bright spot in the font of the view port, and everything else is dark. Unfortunately, modern physics contradicts the fancy light show of hyperspace that you might see in Star Wars.
