This is a call to arms to all of my Facebook friends. As youve no doubt seen, one of the greatest actors, comedians, fathers, husbands, and overall inspirational persons has died today. I want to honor Robin Williams and show how many lives his work has touched. As youve also no doubt seen, there is a challenge floating around the internet involving ice water and raising awareness for ALS. The format of this challenge is to record a video in response to a challenge and then tag three to five friends to also do that challenge. I want to keep that same format for what Im about to do. I want everybody tagged in this post to record a video of yourself getting up and standing on something (preferably a chair or table BUT MAKE SURE ITS STURDY AND STAY SAFE) and proclaiming the words, O Captain! My Captain! This is meant to honor Robin Williams and mimic the final scene of Dead Poets Society, one of my favorite Robin Williams films. I want you to post them to Facebook, but to also email the video to the following email address: robert.alfonzo.petrarca@gmail As an example of how to tag it, you should write something like this... In memoriam to the late great Robin Williams, I offer you a place in honoring his memory. I tag Jill Marie, Brian Hebert, Devon Idleman, Mufasa Flow, and Tom Fallon. Record yourself standing on top of something sturdy and proclaiming, O Captain! My Captain! After you record it, post it to Facebook and tag five friends to participate. Send all videos to robert.alfonzo.petrarca@gmail so that a tribute to Mr. Williams can be made.
