This is a great chart. I want you to notice the weigh lifters. Even at the low end they take in a lot of calories 2800 on average for low weight class and small bodies. This is by far more than most people take in. I tell my clients that you have to eat to grow and get stronger in the gym. At the peak of my training I take in 3400 to 3600 calories a day just to maintain my weight. I can not imagine what some of the big guys that need 6000 a day have to go through.
