This is a long one. Thank You Eric (in Malta) for posting this on Angies List. Installation of Rheem 13 SEER AJN13 condenser, cooling coil and Rheem 95% R95T furnace Member Comments: If it werent for internet anecdotes, I would have likely passed on JDJ Comfort Systems, that would have been a huge mistake. John and Andy James are a great pairing. John is the owner and participates in many of the installations. Andy is his son, and manages a lot of the scheduling and pairs up with John during sales calls and estimates. JDJ is a smaller family run business, they offer many of the services of the big companies locally, but with a do right by the customer creed. Their prices ended up coming in the lowest, and I was very satisfied only getting my condenser and cooling coil replaced by them until.... my current furnace motor started failing. Since I already had JDJ lined up for the condenser and cooling coil, I called them to have a look at my failing furnace. Fran from JDJ came to look at the system, and found part of the control board had failed, he switched a jumper over to override it, and I was able to get heat until I decided to repair or replace. I was given an estimate the next business day, and I decided to replace with JDJ. My heat held out for 4 days after the short term repair, and JDJ was able to order me a 95% efficiency Rheem furnace to match the Condenser to be installed later. John and his team came in that Friday morning, on time, and began work immediately. They started at 8AM, the old unit was out of the space by 9:30AM. I was allowed some time to install some additional insulation behind the furnace space against the garage I couldnt access normally, while they primed the new unit in the garage. After I finished and cleaned up my mess with a vacuum, they began the install. It went flawlessly and they were done by 1PM. HEAT, GLORIOUS HEAT! They even set up the cooling coil ahead of the condenser install to save some time. We decided to delay the condenser installation until April, when there isnt 2 feet of snow on the ground. I scheduled with Andy one week in advance, and John and his team showed up to install the condenser and remove the old unit. Again, they were flawless in their execution, they primed the unit and tested the unit, and ensured there was a proper amount of coolant in the system. These guys are workers, not the give you a hug and a fake smile to make you feel good type of company. They are courteous, professional, get the job done, and do their job well, and thats what really counts. Their customer service is very good, and even emails to Andy are often returned within the same business day. Im very happy with how JDJ handled my scheduled contracts and my unscheduled issue. They will be handling my service calls and maintenance on my heating and A/C going forward. JDJ isnt well known up here in Ballson Spa/Malta/Saratoga, but have no reservations in having them work for you, they are the real deal. I have dont have a reason NOT to give them all As. They even helped me out by submitting the National Grid rebate for my systems. Note: JDJ is a Carrier dealer, but were able to get me my brand of choice, Rheem.
