This is a poem about someone dear to my memories. I am not totally sure what to say. Knowing you was a treat, but I lost you complete. Now I possess an older mans soul. My heart began singing sadder melodies. In the moment all our dreams went away. Now my future feels bleak, because my spirits so weak. The void you left seems darker than coal. I am grateful for the chasm deep inside of me. For now I have room for the pain. Even with all of my plight, I will be alright. For having known you completed me whole. There will always be a bright light shining inside of thee. That will guide me to smiles in the rain. Over and above, you taught me how to love. A lesson I will always cherish and hold. To me you are more than a special memory. You are the one who showed me the way. Although our journey was tough and our road was quite rough. Traveling with you was worth every cent of the toll.
