This is a re-posting: The Schoharie County Historical Society Book Club will meet again on August 28, 2013. Our reading choices for this time are 2 books on the Triangle Shirtwaist Fire of 1911: Triangle- the Fire that changed America by David von Drehle, a non-fiction account, and/or, Triangle: a novel by Katherine Weber, a first-person account of the fire (Historical fiction). We also chose Bargaining with Baseball by William Gould IV, but are unable to locate copies. Instead, please choose a book of your choice that may involve collective bargaining or labor relations in sports, such as: A whole Different Ball Game: the inside story of the Baseball Revolution, by Marvin Miller, or Shades of Glory: the Negro Leagues and the Story of African-American Baseball by Lawrence Hogan. We look forward to seeing you at 1:30 on the 28th at the Badgely Museum on the grounds of the Old Stone Fort.
