This is a takadai braid from Makiko Tadas CTB3: Takadai Braids 1 called Shippôgumi. It is 22 tama and I used some Japanese danzome (space-dyed) silk and silver metallic thread for this, 22 ends per tama, except for the silver, which I used as is at ~30 ends per tama. The metallic thread is a nightmare to try to separate out and so I decided to use it as is and see how it changed the braid. It looks quite different from the example in the book - the structure is less apparent, but I like it.
