This is another example where STEM education has not reached the American people. We simply cant do math. The total population of the United States of America is 330 million... not billion... million people. If 30 million people arrive anywhere to do anything, they would represent nearly 10% of the ENTIRE population of our nation. That would be a LOT of people in both numbers and percentage. I have to admit, Im laughing so hard/lamenting so bitterly at how badly this turned out. Its yet another example of the delusion Americans are living right now. They want to claim victories they havent earned; they want to control others lives, which isnt their right; they want that which is not theirs, if by no other reckoning but because they dont deserve it; and they will not accept what is true about all of us, and that is that we dont know how to take care of ourselves as a nation anymore. We are too immature and too selfish and too ignorant to get the job done. We deny science. We kill our planet. We ignore those who need. We continue to shovel money TOWARD the rich. And we claim these actions in the name of God, or good economics, or strong political agendas. Bull! Let me repeat: We are too ignorant and selfish to get the job done. And for those who would blame one side or the other, feh to you. We are one country. We did this. Every single one of us who didnt guide our nation more effectively, whether because of our ignorance, neglect, or bad intention. So, welcome to America 2014. Aint it grand? The real question now is, Where do we go from here?
