This is appalling of course. And ....the terribly incomplete reporting that always frames such violence. Without any reference to the deaths of pedestrians hit by cars in the West Bank, these awful deaths have no context (that is not the same as justification; no violence against civilians has justification). Without explanation of what Arabs protesting have suffered in controversial circumstances; -- what IS that? There is no context for this rage, as unjustifiable as attacks on civilians always are; and I am not satisfied with the sole sources for the identities of the attackers, being unnamed Israeli security officials or a single-source named Israeli policeman. How, how do we know these identities so soon after the attacks -- prior to an actual police investigation? Why does the reporter take at their word the named and unnamed government spokespeople -without second-sourcing, or engaging in what used to be called journalism? There are many ways to confirm the identity of an attacker -- reporters used to have contacts and sources at the coroners offices for instance and in hospitals. Again I am not saying these terrible attacks did not take place. I am saying that once more single-source journalism or unnamed-source journalism, relying JUST on government spokespeople, is not what we are trained to call confirmed reporting. theguardian/world/2014/nov/10/israeli-woman-killed-palestinian-stabbing-attacks-rising-tide-violence
