This is how I have always seen things. Sometimes I wonder at the deeply rooted teachings I am able to embody having only been *home* for a very brief period of my life when I was very young- and through watching the way my mom lives in the world. So even though I grew up in urban spaces not knowing any other natives for most of my developing years, I find myself thinking like a Navajo. Or maybe a better way to put it is, seeing reality more fully. In my internal methodology of things, there is no separation between belief and science; nor is there anything magical or mystical; nor is there much bias between known and unknown. I stand as a single perception of observation as the universe paints itself before me. Standing in honor of that and questioning my perception rather than what *is*... that is where I find my greatest peace and sanity. Perhaps it is good that these are the teachings that have rooted in me. And that I am drawn to observe the sacred depths of nature without too much of the pomp and circumstance of other cultural noise. I still sort of miss what I never got to know though.
