This is how it works. The world screams every morning. Things to do, places to go, people to see. Each activity, checklist, email and phone call seeks to further hurl you into a constant state of chaos and confusion. Busyness. How often we equate busyness to right living. Im so packed full of great activities, ministries, __________ that I have no time for the wrong things. And then there is no silence. No time to simply sit and listen. The good things fill our minds and ears and drown out the Word. The Word never requested us to, Be busy, and know that I am God. We simply cant make that happen. Busyness straddles us with the things we CAN do in exchange for the things we SHOULD do. But there is a paradox in all of this. When we acknowledge Psalm 46:10 and Be still, and know that I am God. we gain #freedom in our day. Order creeps in. Priorities are set straight. And the rest of the verse comes into play. Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! Notice a few things? I. I. I. Not your schedule. Your checklist. Your activities. Nor self. I. Meaning God. And notice the emphatic in last portion? He wins. Not your schedule. He wins. The schedule may scream loud. But He wins. Your schedule, your activities, those emails, they will all pass away. We have a choice in #freedom. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:33 #gracebasedliving
