This is in response to a man in Norway I do not know or ever had any communication with. He claims that I do not have the resources to travel to Thailand and he is willing to arrange a cheap stay. But to do that I should be able to communicate in a language that can be understood, and he is suggesting I take an intensive course in English. And then he wants to know if I have been out an about in the world? Or am I a homely boy?? And in a separate posting he writes – who the hell is Ivar Haug? So below is my response. And I will write in English since you are of the opinion that I am lacking education, world experience and knowledge of English. You are really stepping into “uncharted” territory by making such assumptions – really distasteful and show off of arrogance. And then you have the audacity to intimidate me, you self-righteous or sanctimonious, sententious, and holier-than-thou attitude – your feelings and display of moral superiority derived from a sense that your beliefs, actions, or affiliations are of greater virtue than those of the average person. Well, I am not the average person from Kvænangen anymore, I left in 1957 and never looked back. And reading on I understand you are fond of Thailand and that you wish I had the resources to take a trip to Thailand. Honestly, if someone gave me a ticket and free stay I will donate it to another person in your neighborhood,, Thailand will be the last place on earth where I will travel to. And I know for a fact that Scandinavians travel to Thailand where booze is cheap and women will marry and be taken away. And I am asking you a question: Why do you have a young Thai girl as Fb friend and other young chicks over there are saying they miss you!! I only guess that you are not wanted or missed by any women of your own nationality – you Besserwisser!! In your postings on Fb the German word Besserwisser is being used of the sole purpose to let everyone know you are A know-it-all or know-all ,, a person who obnoxiously purports an expansive comprehension of a topic and or situation when in reality, your comprehension is inaccurate or limited. Or in German since you like to use that word Besserwisser: Als Besserwisser wird jemand bezeichnet, der meint, vieles besser zu wissen. Die Bezeichnung Besserwisser soll ausdrücken, der Betreffende neige dazu, andere Menschen zu belehren, verschließe sich aber gegenüber Meinungen und Wissen anderer. Or in Norwegian: En bedreviter, er en person som fremstår som en som vet alt så meget bedre enn alle andre. Bedreviter brukes ofte i nedsettende betydning om personer som tror de selv vet best. Bedreviten kan på norsk også betegnes med det tyske Besserwissen eller besserwisseri. And something I learned from working with Jewish people in New York.. you have what they call Chutzpah (hutspa), Chutzpe in German. And since you are using German words this is what they say in Germany – I am sure you will understand you Besserwisser: Chuzpe auch Chutzpe aus dem jiddischen chùtzpe von hebräisch chuzpà für „Frechheit, Anmaßung, Dreistigkeit, Unverschämtheit“ entlehnt - ist eine Mischung aus zielgerichteter, intelligenter Unverschämtheit, charmanter Penetranz und unwiderstehlicher Dreistigkeit. And I do not need any English lessons from you or anyone else in Kvænangen or in your area for that matter. I am well rounded with long experience as a merchant marine sailor, worked for an oil consulting company as senior buyer, later as group purchasing manager for one of Norway’s leading industrial firms conducting business in English. Also - I have owned my own business in the USA for nine years. So therefore, my social and business skills and manners are quite a bit higher than those you so proudly are showing off. Reading your postings in Facebook is a total lack of common courtesy, you are not happy with anything, the government is not to your liking, anyone with a different view or opinion will get it smudged by you - world class Thai traveler and Besserwisser., So if you are not happy where you are,, you should move to Thailand where everything is so much better, please jump on a Thai Air and fly ”to heaven” and you will have nothing to complain about – good luck you Besserwisser!!.
