Dont let fear discourage u Make sure ur words prove true Make a commitment, make ur mark Hey, wait Before u go out on ur own Theres a few things u should know Pain & hate Can upset the situation If they enter the equation - yeah U may decide to go it alone Or meet someone & build a home Raise a family, set up shop But if a life of solitude Is ur chosen avenue Then spread ur wings & never stop Hey, wait Selfishness can b a vice May I offer some advice? Play it safe If u choose to love somebody Must b more than just a hobby - yeah No ones fate is set in stone It is up to u alone To shape the landscape of ur life Dont let critics bother u State ur intent & follow through And ride the jetstream to new heights Hey, wait Heed the words that I have spoken Dont leave any promise broken Stay awake Theres no room for indecision Jealousy will cloud ur vision Your mistakes Are only there to teach a lesson Guard against their repetition Your fate Can be whatever that u make it Opportunities are for taking - yeah.
