This is the 11th post from my Song of Solomon book of Chapter 5. ***Chapters 6 & 7 of the Songs of Solomon is complete and ready to freely distribute.*** Post #105 was posted back on March 24th, 2014 on my timeline: Post #104 was posted back on March 12th, 2014 on my timeline: Post #103 was posted back on March 5th, 2014 on my timeline: Post #102 was posted back on February 12th, 2014 on my timeline: Post #101 was posted back on February 1st, 2014 on my timeline: Post #100 was posted back on January 21st, 2014 on my timeline: Songs 5:7 The WATCHMEN that went about the city found me, THEY SMOTE ME, THEY WOUNDED ME; the KEEPERS OF THE WALLS took away my veil from me. (Contd from last post) The Strong’s Hebrew translation word and definition for the English word ‘watchmen’ is as follows below, H8104 shamar shaw-mar a primitive root; properly, to hedge about (as with thorns), i.e. GUARD; generally, TO PROTECT, ATTEND TO, etc.:--beward, be circumspect, TAKE HEED (TO SELF), keep(-er, self), mark, look narrowly, OBSERVE, PRESERVE, regard, reserve, save (self), sure, (that lay) wait (for), WATCH(-MAN). The ‘watchmen’ seem to give reference to God’s so called people of the land of Israel given the Hebrew definitions of the word ‘shamar.’ A watchman’s job was to keep watch, observe, and guard to protect at the gate for any incoming danger being of God’s enemies against His people from within. When a watchman saw incoming danger he was suppose to give heed to warn the people of the land within the gates by blowing the trumpet or in some cases give out a loud cry. However, the watchmen recorded in Songs 5:7 were the complete opposite of what God commanded a watchman to be all about in Ezekiel 33. These watchmen were ravening wolves robbing & devouring the precious souls of Gods poor & needy of His Spirit & righteousness. Matthew 21:33 Hear another PARABLE {Matt. 13:9-11, Mark 4:11}. There was a certain householder, which PLANTED A VINEYARD, and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in it, and built a tower, and LET IT OUT TO HUSBANDMEN, and went into a far country: Isaiah 5:7 For the VINEYARD of the LORD of hosts is THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for judgment, but BEHOLD OPPRESSION; for righteousness, but BEHOLD A CRY. The ‘husbandmen’ in Christ’s parable recorded in Matthew 21 is in reference to the JEWISH RELIGIOUS LEADERS. They were COMMISSIONED OUT to be FAITHFUL WATCHMEN of God’s kingdom guiding and directing souls down the narrow pathway of righteousness. These leaders during the days of Christ’s ministry on earth WERE SMITING and WOUNDING PEOPLE left and right by THEIR FALSE DOCTRINES and following the teachings of the commandments of men IN WORD AND IN DEED/ACTION. Matthew 21:34 And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it. Matthew 21:35 And the HUSBANDMEN TOOK HIS SERVANTS, and BEAT ONE, and KILLED ANOTHER, and STONED ANOTHER. Matthew 21:36 Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and THEY DID UNTO THEM LIKEWISE. Matthew 21:37 But last of all he SENT unto THEM HIS SON, saying, THEY WILL REVERENCE MY SON. Matthew 21:38 But when the HUSBANDMEN SAW the SON, they said among themselves, This IS THE HEIR; come, LET US KILL HIM, and LET US SEIZE ON HIS INHERITANCE. Matthew 21:39 And THEY CAUGHT HIM, and CAST HIM OUT OF THE VINEYARD, and SLEW HIM. Matthew 21:40 When the lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen? Matthew 21:41 They say unto him, He WILL MISERABLY DESTROY THOSE WICKED MEN, and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons. Matthew 21:42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lords doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? Matthew 21:43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. Matthew 21:44 And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder. Matthew 21:45 And WHEN THE CHIEF PRIESTS and PHARISEES HAD HEARD HIS PARABLES, they perceived that HE SPAKE OF THEM. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Songs 5:8 I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, if ye find my beloved, that ye tell him, that I am sick of love. Songs 5:9 What is thy beloved more than another beloved, O thou fairest among women? what is thy beloved more than another beloved, that thou dost so charge us? Songs 5:10 My beloved is white and ruddy, the chiefest among ten thousand. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- • O Thou FAIREST Among Women {Songs 5:9(a)} The Strongs Hebrew translation word and definitions for the Englsih word fairest are as follows below, H3303 yapheh yaw-feh from 3302; BEAUTIFUL (literally or FIGURATIVELY):+ beautiful, BEAUTY, comely, FAIR(-EST, ONE), + GOODLY, PLEASANT, well. The spiritual beauty that the Bride of Christ is decked with is all because of Him and of His power. The Almighty LORD God proclaims in Isaiah 41 Who raised up the righteous man from the east, called him to his foot, gave the nations before him, and made him rule over kings? Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the LORD, the first, and with the last; I am He {verses 2, 4}. And again, Thou whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called thee from the chief men thereof, and said unto thee, Thou art my servant; I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away {verse 9}. The Lord has granted that His Bride be clothed in pure gold and fine linen, both being of His righteousness and faith {Ps. 45:9,13; Rev. 3:18, Rev. 19:7-9}. He alone receives ALL THE CREDIT for His good works of eternal salvation from beginning to everlasting. It is He who is good, and Him alone. The very God of peace SANCTIFY YOU WHOLLY; and I PRAY God YOUR WHOLE SPIRIT and SOUL and BODY BE PRESERVED BLAMELESS unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. FAITHFUL IS HE that CALLETH YOU, who ALSO WILL DO IT {1 Thess. 5:23-24}. Songs 6:1 Whither is thy BELOVED gone, O THOU FAIREST AMONG WOMEN? whither is thy beloved turned aside? that we may seek him with thee. Songs 6:8 There are threescore queens, and fourscore concubines, and VIRGINS WITHOUT NUMBER. Songs 6:9 MY DOVE, MY UNDEFILED IS BUT ONE; she is the only one of her mother, SHE IS THE CHOICE ONE of her that bare her. The DAUGHTERS SAW HER, and BLESSED HER; yea, the queens and the concubines, and THEY PRAISED HER. Songs 6:10 WHO IS SHE that looketh forth as the morning, FAIR AS THE MOON CLEAR AS THE SUN, and terrible as an army with banners? Psalm 45:9 KINGS DAUGHTERS were among thy honourable women: UPON THY RIGHT HAND DID STAND THE QUEEN IN GOLD OF OPHIR. Psalm 45:10-11 HEARKEN, O DAUGHTER, and CONSIDER, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father’s house; 11) So SHALL THE KING GREATLY DESIRE THY BEAUTY: for HE IS THY LORD; and WORSHIP THOU HIM. Psalm 45:12 And the daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift; even the rich among the people shall intreat thy favour. Psalm 45:13 The KINGS DAUGHTER IS ALL GLORIOUS WITHIN: her clothing is of wrought gold. Psalm 45:14 SHE SHALL BE BROUGHT UNTO THE KING in raiment of needlework: the virgins her companions that follow her shall be brought unto thee. Post #107 will continue with Songs 5:9 dealing with the phrase, O Thou FAIREST Among Women at a later time, Lord willing and able.
