This is really pathetic...one ambulance arrived on the scene almost an hour later; after a 4 car smash up. Please read the comments...there is talk about some people who are not really good drivers and/or familiar with the traffic laws buying their drivers license or permits in Trinidad. Comments also mention poor infrastructure, people speeding on the nations roads, the government buying armor vehicles instead of more ambulances, insufficient trained Emergency Medical staff (EMS), use of a Life Flight Helicopter in emergencies such as this one to take injured citizens to hospital, etc. Ian said a government minister passed by in his PRADO and did not even stop to see if he could help in anyway at the scene of the accident. One woman died on the scene and there were others severely injured.
