This is the first year we didnt do Easter baskets for the kids...I know Im an awful parent BUT we wanted to teach them to be thankful for what the Lord has already given us and that today is about His sacrifice and not eggs and candy. We hunted eggs last weekend with my autism group/family and that wasnt about the eggs either, it was about the fellowship....Im teaching my children God is in everything and everyone and to see life the way He intends. Life is too often about things it shouldnt become. This Easter for us is about surrounding ourselves in love, acceptance and realization of the blessings which weve already recieved.
