(This is the letter I just wrote to support amending LB505 to another bill that could be presented today or tomorrow) Shout out to Hot Shots By Hollie Photography Studio and Hollie Klimek for the great picture!! Attached is a picture of the sweet boy that is the center of our lives....the reason we fight for LB 505 to pass. We received Trayes diagnosis two years ago this month....and the fight for the rights for his treatment started that day of his testing/diagnosis. From that day on, insurance denied all of Trayes therapies that were PREAPPROVED based on medical necessity. They even denied the claim for his testing. We have accumulated over $10,000 in medical bills despite all the preapprovals. These denials have caused a huge strain on our family-to the point that I, his mother, had to get a second job and spend numerous hours away from the little boy that needs me so much! Im missing out on moments, milestones....things I will never get back because I was working to pay for the therapy that he deserves. The fight will continue....but for this little boy and for all the other families, we will NEVER give up. Thank you for your time.
