This is the most comprehensive analysis on the gun violence issue I have read. My own personal belief on guns is the same as my belief on pit bull bans. The problem isnt responsible people having them. (Although I am personally against hunting). The problem is the fact that there are way too many of them in existence making it too easy for bad people to get their hands on them . Massive spay neuter programs and strict breeding licenses with hefty fines for non-compliance can help with the overpopulation of pit bulls and based on Australias results, perhaps a massive gun buy back program to reduce the number of guns in circulation and strict gun production regulations are possible answers to help with the gun problem. In both cases, I fully support tough screening processes to be able to own one. But if we dont get the numbers down, we will never solve the problem of bad people getting their hands on them.
