This is the result of making emotionally based decisions rather than sound economic policy. Poor needing help means shelter, food and clothing. Not cable tv, computers, internet, cell phones, etc. Weve made it so easy, and worse, convenient, to collect welfare (EBT cards) that its no wonder the numbers have skyrocketed. Half the people collecting food stamps would drop off if those people had to wait in line for food like they used to. Harsh reality, but true.
