This is to all the kids out there (and especially the grown kids) from your adoring mother. You will NOT spontaneously combust: 1) if you put your clothes in the hamper (mamas all over the world are going to stop washing them if you dont). 2) if you remove the empty hangers from your closet when you get the item out (hey, it would help if you brought the hangers to the laundry room so Mama could hang YOUR clean clothes on them). 3) if you put YOUR dishes in the dishwasher (be kind and even put others in there). 4) if you check your shoes for dirt before wearing them through the house (how about just leave them at the door, or YOU go through the house and sweep up/scrub up your mess). 5) if you get YOUR trash out of Mamas car when you exit. 6) if you go through the fridge once weekly and take the slop out (wash the dishes too) 7) if you empty the dishwasher. 8) if you take the trash out (hopefully BEFORE it runs over and hits the floor). 9) if you make your bed as soon as you get up (at least pull the sheet up and fold the spread back neatly). 10) if you cook a meal for your parents on days they work and you dont (its so nice to come home to an already cooked supper). Your mother loves you so much and would lay down her own life for you, so dont take offense to the rules. You WILL be a parent some day, or you will have someone in your home who you have to pick up after. :)
