This is very sad story, but our staff and crews were so moved to do something to help the Sternberg family. Jesse Sternberg is the 19 year old son of Dave Sternberg who owns Perfect Turf, a local astro turf install company that we regularly work with. Last October, Jesse was in a tragic car accident, which he was the passenger in a vehicle when the driver lost control of the car. Despite having his seatbelt on, the bolts from his seat came undone from the floor of the car. He is now paralyzed from the neck down. Jesse has had a long road to recovery and he is expected to return to his home in Schaumburg in the next few weeks. His home has been under construction so a wheelchair can be used inside and outside the house. After hearing this news Christy Webber Landscapes staff got together and decided to install a wheelchair accessible wood ramp to the front entrance of the Sternberg home. Christy got discounts on the wood that was used and Christy Webber Landscapes picked up the tab for the materials and labor. The past few Saturdays our Construction Department, Design Department and other crews helped construct and install the ramp. It was team effort that was completed over the weekend.
