This is why the public cannot TRUST police. These young men were doing absolutely wrong, these guys have a YouTube channel and are artists. Luckily, after a lot of diligence, and paying for attorneys, they were able to get their equipment back. You can see in their video that their equipment was broken (which it was working when taking into possession by the Sheriffs department). When they received their PRIVATE property back, the SD cards (evidence of encounter) were not present in their cameras. The Sheriffs department said that the SD cards were being held for evidence (possibly to protect the Sheriffs Deputies?). This shows is just more evidence that these types of violations are not an exception to the rule, but are becoming the rule itself.
