This isnt an issue that gets any sort of coverage. Its taboo in our society and consequently gets shoved to the fringe of society without regard for the damage it can do. Our media gives off the impression that every single pedophile is a monster, and a vicious repeat offender that violates children without regard for them at all. However, what about those pedophiles who have not molested a child? How can they seek help? This issue deserves to be spotlighted. I dont ask that you agree with me, but I do ask that you try to read through the entire article before making a judgement. I am not a pedophile. I honestly cannot fathom the experiences that they go through. I firmly agree that child molestation and exploitation must remain against the law. However there needs to be a dialogue. Pedophilia carries such a heavy social stigma that even those who have never harmed a child cannot seek support for the issues that they are dealing with.
