This isnt the first time Ive brought this up, but if youre a freelancer (even a tenured studio artist), you have got to think about your financial future. The worst time to think about how to fund your retirement years is right before it happens - which is why retiree poverty rates are through the roof. Almost 40% in the US alone from a recent article I read. The catch phrase of Living for today! is great, but unless you have rich parents or intend to win the lottery, you sure as heck should be thinking about the future too, otherwise youre squandering one of the most important components of building a solid financial bedrock - time.
