This isnt to beat up on Calvinist, but they preach a dangerous message. The message preached causes people to prejudge and not make an effort to share the gospel. It causes people to put themselves on a pedestal. I grew up in church from age 7-19 until I left home. I wasnt saved wasnt seeking God, I was living an extremely wild disobedient life until 3 years ago when I truly surrendered my heart to Jesus. My moms prayers followed me. Now most people who knew me crossed me off and said that I was one of the tares, that hell would be my destination based on what they saw on the outside. Now those same people are looking confused wondering what happened because their self righteous false prophecies came to naught. We must never undermine the power of God. The word of God never contradicts itself. If your understanding makes it appear to contradict other scriptures then you need to reexamine the scriptures and pray for the proper understanding. Thats why Paul said in 1 Corinthians 4:4-6 My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent. It is the Lord who judges me. Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God. Now, brothers and sisters, I have applied these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, so that you may learn from us the meaning of the saying, Do not go beyond what is written. Then you will not be puffed up in being a follower of one of us over against the other. Isaiah 55:7-9 Let the wicked forsake his way And the unrighteous man his thoughts; And let him return to the LORD, And He will have compassion on him, And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon. 8For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways, declares the LORD. 9For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts. I leave you with Romans 10:13. for, Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Show me where it says For all my elect who call upon my name shall be saved Please stop preaching and believing that false doctrine of Calvinism. Youd be better to try and learn a little bit of Hebrew & Greek when reading the word, English is a bastard language and some of the words change the context of what the true meaning is. You can go to biblehub and read the word in Hebrew and Greek side by side with the English translation and youll notice the difference in a lot of the scriptures. One more point to address in Matthew 7:22-23 Many will say to Me on that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles? 23And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS. Why did Jesus say he never knew them? Obvious they had done great things in the name of Jesus. No sinner can cast out a devil or heal the sick in Jesus name. It was those who didnt hold to the faith, those who didnt endure to the end. Jesus said in Matthew 24:13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. Cross reference with Ezekiel 18:24 But if a righteous person turns from their righteousness and commits sin and does the same detestable things the wicked person does, will they live? None of the righteous things that person has done will be remembered. Because of the unfaithfulness they are guilty of and because of the sins they have committed, they will die. God in all his wisdom knows all of those who will stand firm until the end. Ill end with this: Romans 3:4 Not at all! Let God be true, and every human being a liar. As it is written: So that you may be proved right when you speak and prevail when you judge.
