This just happened: I was on corner of Clark and Belmont. A group of (mostly) white bros, packing drinks and smiles, paused for the light next to me. They had a portable Bluetooth jam box and were BLASTING some sweet tunes while happily dancing. Dear pal Kate Anderson and I rocked out with them in earnest until the light changed. As they parted, a handsome, grown ass man in a skin tight Robin (of Batman and Robin, not of Dancing On My Own fame) costume joined the crossing herd. He and his very shapely buttocks were majestically framed by these dancing, drunk bros as they moved happily in unison across Belmont. It was a snapshot of what I both love about, and seek to create with, my life. Then, Brother D, local incense merchant, gave me a free pack of my favorite kind as a good luck token for my Portland show on Sunday. This is all there is. This. I am in love with life.
