This morning, Home Loving Cats helped to rescue a swan that was marooned in the middle of the main road just outside the Tesco Congleton car park entrance! It was clearly dis-orientated and confused to have found its way there, but fortunately it did not appear to be injured (although it was frightened and in imminent danger of being killed as some cars sped around it without slowing down). Thanks to the combined efforts of ourselves, a lady called Alison and her daughter, a passing taxi driver, two police officers, Dominoes Pizza Congleton (who provided water for the swan to drink) and an RSPCA inspector called Steve Wickham, the swan was guided to a safer place away from the road and then taken to, and released into, the River Dane where it swam happily off! This was an amazing team effort by all concerned. You are heroes, every one of you! (Turn up your volume and check out the video below):
