This morning I posted a status update about a friends business that was broken into. They gained entry thru a window that they had removed, broke the door frame to the office, scattered paperwork and stole some items and one of those items was the DBMR’s donation jar. I will just never be able to understand the mentality of someone who steals from another. I was brought up differently I guess, with morals and values. Stealing period is wrong, but stealing from a rescue/charity that relies on donations to pay for vet care etc…is just incomprehensible. There is however, a silver lining with all of this. Within minutes of posting that status update, someone that I met thru one of our adoptions private messaged me and told me she was sending a check to cover the amount that was in the donation box. Words cant express the gratitude I feel because of her. I won’t mention her name because she isn’t doing this for notoriety and I don’t want to embarrass her. But, you know who you are and again thank you so very much!
