This morning I realized that the 3 most successful weight loss plans Ive ever been on (besides when I had TMJ after oral surgery and my jaws were locked down for 3 months)....are 1) Food Catering (I KNOW.. youd think being around all that food would add pounds, but you would not believe how hard it is to cook for crowds, how much you move and lift and carry... and how hungry you are NOT.) 2) Cleaning/Organizing/Decorating My House (I went down a full pants size last summer trying to get the house ready to sell in 2 weeks!) 3) Updating My Wardrobe (Do you know how many calories are burned shimmying in and out of a dozen pairs of pants that dont fit? Well, it is at least 10 million.) And so, since I would like to shed a few pounds before donning my last Mother of the Groom dress, marrying off my last child this summer, I am going to turn into the white tornado of cleaning, one of those high energy-talkative gay decorators on HGTV, an Iron Chef in the kitchen and a sassy Stacy of What Not to Wear. Its my Win-Win-Win-Win Weight Loss Plan. Or The Everything Make-Over. Needless to say, the WORST job for gaining weight for me is... writing. I saw Jim Gaffigan post something today like, Im not lazy, I just get irritated when I have to do anything involving getting out of a chair. After two years of sitting and writing alot, I empathize.
