This morning I saw my youngest son off to the airport in the car - TopicsExpress

This morning I saw my youngest son off to the airport in the car with my eldest while my middle son nate rests for school after flying back from Australia. I am typing this with my vision blurred and tears streaming down my face. As Chris is about to embark on his adventures at sea, as I did before him and my father before me I am humbled. My father was without question or shadow of a doubt a true hero and a patriot, and he would be proud of the legacy he has left in the two generations that followed him. My father understood the principles that truly great men fight for are humatarian. Equality Liberty and accountability to the less fortunate as a civic responsibility. The allowance and belief that all men should be afforded equal opportunity to health and education Which will help make us stronger as a nation and as an entire damn species. As well. When did greed replace empathy? When did I need to save a few tax dollars replace our civic responsibility to care for the least of us? My father would be proud of my sons for the same reasons I am. They care more about the heath of us all than the wealth and comfort of the few. I am proud if you sons Remember whats really important.
