This morning I went to Fosters to get breakfast before I went to work and while I was cashing out there was this boy infront of me probably no older than 19 cashing I wasnt paying attention to what was going on but when I finally did I realized that he could not pay for everything that he picked up and he took one item off. Then I observed what he picked up. Typical every day household food items bread milk etc. I never reacted at first but it caught my attention as I watched him walk out I wondered mayb his fam is struggling or something I didnt want to assume anything....but when I walked to my car I felt a way like why didnt I just offer to pay for that one item and I knew it would just be on my mind all day today... I turned around in the parking lot in hope that I would see him one last time and there he was walking away so I went to him and told him he forgot something and he explained to me that he had to put it back.. I insisted that he just wait right there he forgot something. I went back into fosters bought the $1.99 he had to put back and gave it to him in a way that didnt make it seem like it was charity. I mean the last thing u would want to do to a person thats in the struggle is make them feel like it. He told me God bless and have a Merry Christmas. Now I could be totally wrong and this boy could have come from a wealthy family but their is no guilt in giving.
