This mostly concerns my Australian FBFs. Yesterday I shared an article posted on the Tony Abbott & The Coalition Government - Exposed page. Their post claimed that the Campbell Newman government had outlawed the Eureka flag as part of their VLAD laws. I stupidly shared without first verifying the truth or otherwise of the meme like post (always a big mistake). When I couldnt verify the story, I removed my post. Today, after a little googling I discovered that Newman had tweeted the following: Misinformation. The Eureka Flag is not considered to be a logo or patch of a criminal organisation. Apologies to anyone I may have misled. Much as its important to be vigilant where pricks like Newman and Abbott are concerned, its equally important not to embellish or exaggerate their already outrageous deeds lest we become lying bastards like them.
