This next release from Adapted is an insane new four track EP from the master of heavy sound, LabRat. Making some of the dirtiest tracks in the Santa Cruz area, Travis has really shown what he’s got in Break The Cage. Making a name for himself since 2010, and having recently gone on his first national tour, you will not want to miss out on what this talented young producer is all about. He gets things underway with the title track Break the Cage, which is brilliantly melodic to begin with but has a drop that can shake the earth. Keeping up with the melodic theme, Can’t Catch Up again takes a turn for the filthy sounds and has some of the most insane production I’ve come across in awhile. Evolve definitely grows throughout its arrangement, keeping it endlessly interesting and unique. The final track Shitaka staysrelatively minimal, focusing on grooving drums and the ripping lead bass.
