This opening \ position is described as site manager, site agent, contracts manager, building manager or simply construction manager at General Manager Level heading Uttar Pradesh State based at Lucknow, this professional is responsible for running and managing a construction site – or a large part of it. Construction Managers role requires: 1. Preparing the site and liaising with other construction professionals such as architects, engineers, govt. Dept, buyers, estimators and surveyors before construction work starts 2. Developing the programme of work and strategy for making the project happen within time frame 3. Planning ahead to prevent problems on site before they occur, for example, planning the delivery and storage of equipment and materials 4. Making safety inspections of the site when work is underway and ensuring regulations relating to health, safety and the environment (HSE) 5. Using construction management software packages to plan smooth work flows 6. Communicating with a range of people including the client, subcontractors, suppliers, the public and the workforce Qualifications and training required • Senior-level role (G.M level) that requires industry and project experience. • Engineering Graduates from a reputed Institution of India or Abroad. • Need to be forward planners, with exceptional people skills and the ability to present ideas and negotiate. • Good problem solving skills are essential. IT is increasingly important for managers working on site and in the office, so building up skills in this area is vital.
