This picture is not one of my kids but I wanted to share this article and a few of my own thoughts. Because my kids grew up with horses they learned that life is not always fair, but that if you work hard and do the right thing, more often than not, you will come out on top. They learned that sometimes you get more than you should and that sometimes you get shafted. They learned the value of hard work, consistency, and constructive criticism. They learned to love and be loved by a being that couldnt tell them in words but only in actions how they felt. Ive never regretted for one minute all the money, time and work we put into our horses over the years. My kids learned lessons that could never have been learned any other way and they are better people today because of them.
