This piece was such a challenge and involved so much patience. I drew out each bit of movement you see on a separate piece of paper then lined up each piece of paper in the exact same position and snapped a photograph of the image. This was a technique used by a lot of animators from the days before computer software. It is very time consuming but very rewarding. The main challenge of this was ensuring that each image that was drawn aligned correctly with the previous image which was key in making the animation look as smooth as possible.
