This poem ended up the first yesterday on poetry THE INCREDIBLE POWER OF HOPE Few people ever take the time to fathom the power of this word Hope is truly the pillar that holds up the world Hope generates a positive mood about expectation The strong conviction to savor a desire with anticipation Like the air we respire, it’s imperative and vital Hope is the lifeblood to our spiritual survival Without that needed spark, we are doomed to a dismal existence Hope is the heartbeat, the pulse that boosts our perseverance The faith that holds out its hand in the dark Makes us soar high above as a lark A beautiful song usually heard at night Blooming tulips filling your heart with delight Never capitulate great expectations along the way Awaken your dormant ambition for a new life each and everyday Aspiration can get you through anything The force that pulls you forward, keeps you going Inhale hope in every breath you take Unadorned fact, not something I fake Hope doesn’t flourish in every garden What one longs for will not certainly turn out well Hope is practiced through the virtue of patience Implies a little conviction, and self-confidence I feel thankful it has taken root in mine Has even made the bones of my body shine.
