This pope took the name Francis, after St. Francis of Assisi who preached the duty of humankind to protect and enjoy nature. Breastfeeding is natural, part of nature, and (hopefully) weve all done it. However, many children (born between 1966 and 1980) were fed formula due to social pressures to wean them early, and 3%-10% of them have grown up with life-long digestive issues because of it. These children, interestingly enough, primarily grew up in wealthy, liberally-minded households. This pope represents a conservative point of view that supports our health and is linked to nature.
