This response is exactly why I stand by this video. Beck (and every op-ed Ive read about it) claims that the commercial exploits these girls and sends them on a path of ignorant screaming about a cause without actually addressing the issues. Theyre actors hired by a company. Child actors say and do terrible things on screen. Thats what theyre hired to do. Beck claims “They have destroyed these little girls. They have put their feet on a path that they will never change from.” Yet he makes no mention of how the societal issues mentioned in the ad actively hinder their development. Is the video offensive? Absolutely. That was the point. More people know a few more facts about the war on women than did last week and thats a good thing.
