This thought woke me up this morning: When buying our house we loved everything, except for the ugly shed in the backyard. My wife and I decided to remove it for the reasons we considered valuable to us: 1. It was ugly and spoilt the view. 2. We had no use for it. 3. Limited our freedom cause it took up space. It was only in September that we discovered one of the purposes for it, it was also protecting the strawberry plants from a certain animal that would come in the yard and eat the fruit. Our discovery was late because the strawberries were eaten. Heres my point: As modern day preachers we are to quick to remove the ancient landmarks that our forefathers has instilled. Most cases we remove it because we dont understand it, like it or feel that its limiting us. It is only when the season appears that the purpose for the landmarks are revealed. Im not saying keep the shed but what Im saying is first understand the purpose or reason before removing, otherwise you will make your fruit vulnerable to the enemy. Thats what we are seeing in the body of Christ today, much freedom; passion and zeal in the body of Christ, but no commitment, focus, and discipline. Ps.O.T.Whittaker
